Understanding Refund Policies
Lone Star Data Ranch aims to provide excellent service, but we understand that there may be situations where you need to request a refund. Here’s an overview of our refund policies, common scenarios, and steps to request a refund if eligible.
Refund Eligibility
-
New Service Purchases
- Hosting Services: Many of our hosting services are eligible for a refund if requested within a specified period (e.g., 30 days) from the initial purchase. The eligibility period will be stated in your service agreement or terms of service.
- Domain Registrations: Due to ICANN regulations, domain registrations are typically non-refundable once registered. However, if a domain renewal charge was made in error, please contact support for review.
-
Renewals and Recurring Services
- Refunds for renewed or recurring services are generally not provided unless there is an error in billing or other exceptional circumstances. To avoid unwanted renewals, please cancel the service or disable auto-renewal before the renewal date.
-
Add-ons and Premium Services
- Certain premium services, software licenses, and add-ons may have unique refund policies, depending on the provider’s terms. Please review any specific terms associated with these services for refund eligibility.
Requesting a Refund
If you believe your service is eligible for a refund, follow these steps to request it:
-
Log into the Client Area
- Go to the Lone Star Data Ranch Client Area and log in.
-
Submit a Support Ticket
- Go to Support > Open Ticket and select Billing Support as the department.
- Include the following information in your request:
- Service or product for which you are requesting a refund.
- Reason for the refund request.
- Any relevant transaction or invoice numbers.
-
Await Review and Response
- Once submitted, our billing team will review your request. Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days if approved.
- You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been processed.
Exceptions to the Refund Policy
- Suspended or Terminated Accounts: Refunds are generally not issued for services that were suspended or terminated due to a breach of our terms of service.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Certain administrative fees, one-time setup fees, and charges for premium services may be non-refundable. These fees will be outlined in your service agreement.
Applying Account Credit
In some cases, refunds may be issued as account credit instead of a direct refund. This account credit can then be applied to future invoices or service purchases. If you prefer a direct refund to your original payment method, please indicate this in your support ticket.
Tips to Avoid Unwanted Charges
- Disable Auto-Renewal for Services You No Longer Need: Go to My Services or My Domains in the Client Area to manage renewal settings.
- Review Renewal Notices: Lone Star Data Ranch sends renewal reminders before your service expires, giving you time to cancel if necessary.
By understanding our refund policies and procedures, you can ensure a smooth experience if a refund request is needed. For further questions or assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team.
